All in all, this device is 100% worth every penny. I was painting a room and had Pandora playing through it, after 4 hours the battery had only gone down about 7%. You can easily get through two or more days without a charge even using Netflix and streaming music and using apps. And the best part is how long this thing lasts. Not to mention, every single animation is beautiful and looks great on the display. On the home screen, I can access all of the apps that I use everyday Seeking Alpha, Email, AP, etc. I simply open the case and the magnetic pickups under the display automatically turn the screen on.

Everyday ExperienceI wake up, check the news, stocks, emails and social media on this device. It is truly genius and strategic placement of the speakers on this tablet. But here's the best part: When you play music through the internal speakers and set it down flat on a table, the placement of the speakers on the tapered edge causes the sound to resonate and become almost two times louder. When you are sitting and watching some Netflix or streaming from Amazon, you can easily eat a snack and hold it in landscape with one hand. It ergonomic placement of the power and volume buttons is genus it's placed on the tapered edges on the back of the tablet. The feel of the rubberized back and smooth front panel give it the feel of a flagship tablet. DesignIf someone handed me this device before I bought it, they could've convinced me it cost $200+. The design was cool and the color combination, as halloween-ey as it was, was actually a really nice addition to the packaging. When they say 'hassle-free', they really mean it. The first thing that really caught my eye was the packaging. When I got it in the mail a few days later, I was pretty excited to get it open and see what it was like. Given this is my first Kindle Fire, I had to prior knowledge to base my experience on so the slate was clean. I was expecting an experience similar to Huawei's early tablet's cheap. For $129, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this Kindle Fire.
